I will sell my 1993 bmw r100r to the right buyer ! A great airhead in excellent condition. 35,906 miles in near showroom condition with all maintaince done. New Michelin tires,new works performance rear shock (bm-48001),new wunderlich retro seat with modern cell foam,k&n air filter plus extra new stock filter, dealer service included leak down test ( 4%),valve adjust,fork oil change...etc.. I have all receipts ! Oil and filter change every 2000 miles and trans./final drive every 4,000 miles. Stock bmw panniers in good condition. Fly screen shield ! New throttle and clutch/speedo cables. Brakes are well over 65 %. Bike rides smooth and idles as it should..32 mm bing carbs cleaned and overhauled with new diaphrams/o-rings-jets.  There was a scratch on the tank,right side,that I blended in with the proper paint and you can hardly see it ! European Parliament Makes ABS Mandatory, Tighten Emissions Standards by 2016

The European Parliament voted overwhelmingly in favor of new rules that would increase emission standards and make anti-lock braking systems mandatory for all new large motorcycles, scooters and trikes and quads by 2016. The new regulations, which would still need approval from European Union member states, may only directly affect Europe, but they will have a wide-reaching affect on manufacturers’ product development for other markets. BMW, for example, has already made ABS standard for all its motorcycles for 2013.

EICMA 2013: 2014 BMW R1200RT Revealed

We confess, the BMW R1200RT was a glaring omission from our list of top 10 motorcycles to watch at EICMA. There are so many new bikes coming out at the 2013 EICMA show, it was hard enough to narrow it down to just 10, but that doesn’t excuse us forgetting BMW is adding another model powered by the new R1200GS‘ liquid-cooled boxer engine. Follow the rest of our 2013 EICMA show coverage The peak numbers for the R1200RT are the same as with the GS, with BMW claiming 125 hp at 7700 rpm and 92.2 ft-lb at 6500 rpm.

Charley Boorman Tours Canada for New Series

Actor and adventure rider Charley Boorman is getting ready for another journey, this one taking him across the Great White North on a tour of Canada. Best known for his Long Way Round and Long Way Down documentaries with his friend and riding partner Ewan McGregor, Boorman is touring Canada for a new series called Extreme Frontiers: Canada for the U.K.’s Channel 5. BMW Motorrad Canada will provide Boorman with his ride, likely from its GS line.
