BMW R-Series description

1978 BMW R100RS Motorsport edition.  33,150k miles Second owner.  One of 200 produced.Genuine collector’s item.  Professionally maintained.All original except for the following; Has San Jose upper triple clamp, San Jose fork brace, Koni rear shocks.  Recently serviced.  Comes with original and rare white saddlebags.  Not perfect, front fairing has some issues and could stand some repairs.  Small dent in fuel tank.  Has original tool kit and security lock.  Overall, condition, very good for a 37-year-old motorcycle.  Runs well.  Same model (not this particular one) as was displayed in “The Art of the Motorcycle” at the Guggenheim Museum. This is NOT a R100RS painted to look like a Motorsport.  This machine was originally sold by Buchannan’s BMW in Seattle Washington to the owner of Seattle BMW (the car dealership) and was then traded to Ride West BMW of Seattle.  I purchased it from them while employed there as their Service Manager. 2 owner bike. 2015 BMW K1600GT and K1600GTL Get Traction Control as Standard Equipment

BMW is updating its big six-cylinder touring bikes with traction control as standard equipment and a number of new optional add-ons including keyless remote ignition. Previously available as part of BMW’s factory-installed Safety Package option, the Dynamic Traction Control system will now be standard on all 2015 K1600GT and K1600GTL models. The system continuously monitors rear wheel traction during acceleration, stepping in when it senses excessive wheel spin.

2014 BMW C evolution Electric Scooter Revealed

BMW has expanded its maxi-scooter lineup with a new electric-powered model. Officially revealed after a year of testing at various events in Europe such as the 2012 London Olympics, the BMW C evolution is now ready for production, joining the gas-powered C650GT and C600 Sport. The C evolution is powered by a liquid-cooled permanent magnet synchronous motor claiming an European Union-rated 15 hp, though if you really strain the motor peak output can reach 47 hp.
