Technical Work performed on the motorcycle by our skilled techs: Repaired engine leaks, Replace master cylinder system for front brake and new brake line Remove and replace engine top end and replaced push rod seals, clean cylinders, top end, valves, check vacuum, replace gaskets and seals. Resurfaced valves and recut seats. Remove transmission and clean, lubed spline. Remove clutch assembly and clean. Replace friction clutch disk. Replaced rear main seal, oil pump seal, and transmission neutral switch. Rear clean - Clutch bell housing Install Boyer Digital Electronic ignition system (Remove, strip, clean and assemble carbs. - All new O rings, gaskets floats, needles) Replaced very worn charging alternator brushes Final drive rebuilt - new bearing and seals - Brake shoes replaced Sync, Tune, Timed Engine Needs nothing but a tour!! BMW Reports Q2 2011 Results
Wed, 10 Aug 2011BMW posted another record quarter, reporting sales of 37,471 motorcycles in the three months ended June 30, 2011. First quarter unit sales were 3.6% higher than the 36,175 motorcycles sold in the same quarter of 2010. Combined with a record first quarter, BMW has sold 60,580 units in the first half of the year, a 6.3% increase over 2010.
British Moto-Journalist Kevin Ash Dies at 2013 BMW R1200GS Press Launch
Wed, 23 Jan 2013(Updated with a message written by Kevin Ash’s oldest daughter, posted on the header of his blog AshOnBikes.) Respected British motorcycle journalist Kevin Ash has died following an accident at a BMW press launch in South Africa for the R1200GS. Ash was a long-time columnist at the U.K.’s MCN as well as the founder of British magazine Fast Bikes. Ash was also a popular freelancer, most notably as the regular motorcycle correspondent for the British newspaper the Daily Telegraph.
2014 Urals Get Upgraded & Go On Tour
Wed, 29 Jan 2014For 2014 Ural has equipped its line-up of two-wheelers and sidecars with some very modern componentry. Ural models now enjoy the benefits of electronic fuel injection (EFI), disc brakes (on all three wheels) and an hydraulic steering damper. Ural claims the motorcycles have received “dozens of other upgrades,” but did not provide details as to nature of those upgrades.
