BMW R-Series description

This is a one of a kind custom 1976 BMW R60. I found this bike part of estate sale. It was owned and built by a talented man nick-named Doc, you will see this name on all of his hand built bikes. The bike is a true work of art, and you could look at it all day and see the unique touches placed everywhere. To name a few is the retractable license plate, see video, the hand made seat, and hidden headlights. The front and rear fender is hand made from strips of wood, with a thick sealer over them, see pictures. The bike was built by Doc at his home either with his hands or his 1930's-1950's mill machines. The bike now has a custom 1997 Suzuki Savage 650 engine, with a EMPI carb. The bike was sitting for some time and I have not tried to start it. I am selling it like I found it, and I am listing it as a non running project. The engine will spin over if you rock it in gear. I do know the bike will need a new battery. There is a clean and clear FL title that matches the bikes VIN plate. I will now let my 53 picture slideshow and video I provided in the listing do the talking. You must use a regular computer or laptop to see the slideshow and video.  They will not show up with apps, phones, or some tablets. Click on the view all tab at the bottom of the slideshow to see all the pictures.

This is a NO RESERVE auction. No warranties expressed or implied , and a as is where is sale. Feel free to have the motorcycle inspected if you like.  All sales are final, and there are no refunds or returns, and inspections are recommended. Bike comes with a title from the previous owner, that matches the bikes VIN, and will be signed by the executor of the estate. Full payment is do within 7 days after the auction has ended. Buyer must also contact me within 2 days after the auction has ended to set up a time for payment and pickup. Bike must be picked up in Tampa FL. As long as the bike is paid for in full within 7 days after the auction has ended, then she can sit here for up to two months, but would like it picked up as soon as possible. Please look at all of the pictures, including the slideshow pictures, and ask all questions before bidding as I will be happy to answer them.  Thank you and happy bidding!

BMW Concept 6 [video]

Mon, 23 Nov 2009

BMW introduced an inline six-cylinder café racer concept at the 2009 EICMA show in Milan, Italy. Inline-six engines have a staple in BMW’s automobiles for decades and the German manufacturer’s motorcycle division took on the challenge of adapting the straight-six to a bike without making it too long or too wide. The result is the BMW Motorrad Concept 6, and an evolution BMW says “will further expand the K-Series in the foreseeable future”.

Used Review: Clover GT3 jacket

Fri, 01 Aug 2008

I’ve been wearing this waterproof textile jacket since March and it’s performed very well. The silver colour shows up dirt something rotten, there’s a stark lack of useful pockets and the cut is quite square, but as a jacket to keep the cold and water out it’s been right up to the job. It’s my daily commuting top, one of those jackets you throw on without thinking about it, and now that it’s summer I can’t see the point in getting a replacement anytime soon.

2014 BMW NineT Spied – Lo Rider Concept Finally Coming to Life

Thu, 26 Sep 2013

Germany’s Motorrad Magazin has uncovered new photos of an upcoming BMW motorcycle rumored to be called the NineT. We caught a glimpse of the boxer-engined roadster testing earlier this summer but the new pictures – snapped at a gas station in northern Italy – reveal three motorcycles that appear close to being ready for production. The name NineT recognizes the 90th year anniversary, and the new model references that history in its retro styling.
