BMW R-Series description

I have up for auction a 1970 BMW R60/5 at NO RESERVE. This is a engine and frame number matching bike, and yes there is a clear FL title for the bike. She had a nice freshening up a few years back, with new paint on frame and tins as you can see. The carbs were just cleaned, and a new battery from batteries plus was just installed. This BMW has a very comfortable Cobrin seat that also looks very nice. The bike does come with its tool kit and tool kit holder tray. One thing you hardly see that this bike has is chrome side covers, that are zip tied to the battery tray. The kick starter and electric starter work like they should. As you can see , she has a very cool set of cafe style handle bars, and a unique set of two into one exhaust pipes. The bike was sitting for a few years, and I just got her running to shoot the video. I did take the bike for a test drive and she did run, shift, and stop like she should. I am still going to classify this bike as a project and not a running motorcycle, since I've notice so far, she may need fine tuning before riding and there is some cracking in the tires. I am going to let my slideshow, pictures, and video do the talking, but please if you have any questions or concerns, ask before bidding as I will be happy to answer them.  Please check out the 48 picture slideshow I provided in the listing, and also the one video of the bike starting cold. I am selling this one at a NO RESERVE starting at one dollar, so don't miss out.

This is a NO RESERVE auction. No warranties expressed or implied , and a as is where is sale. Feel free to have the motorcycle inspected if you like.  All sales are final, and there are no refunds or returns, and inspections are recommended. Full payment is do within 7 days after the auction has ended. Buyer must also contact me within 2 days after the auction has ended to set up a time for payment and pickup. Bike must be picked up in Tampa FL. She can sit here for as long as you need,  but the bike will still have to be paid for in full within the 7 days. Please watch the video fully,  look at all of the pictures, including the slideshow and ask all questions before bidding as I will be happy to answer them.  Thank you and happy bidding!

MV Agusta Chairman Hubert Trunkenpolz Interview – Part One

Wed, 26 Jun 2024

Back in the Black Photos by Fabio Polimeni In November 2022 Italian trophy brand MV Agusta, wholly owned since 2019 by Russian entrepreneur Timur Sardarov and his family, and Pierer Mobility AG – KTM’s parent company – reached an agreement on ‘future strategic cooperation’, as a result of which the Austrian firm headed by Stefan Pierer would acquire a 25.10% stake in MV Agusta via its KTM AG subsidiary. At the first meeting of the newly constituted MV Agusta board on November 15, a capital increase of €30 million was agreed, denoting the sum KTM had paid to acquire its new minority shareholding in the company. As part of this strategic alliance KTM took charge of purchasing all components needed to manufacture MV Agusta’s entire range of models, as well as responsibility for marketing, distribution and after-sales service for MV Agusta on a global basis outside Italy.

BMW G310R vs Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 vs Kawasaki Z400 vs KTM Duke 390 vs Yamaha MT-03 You know what they say: It’s more fun to ride a slow motorcycle fast than a fast motorcycle slow. Yet another example of conventional wisdom baloney. It’s actually more fun to ride a fast bike fast, or even a medium-fast one.
