BMW R-Series description

BMW R 69S, US model ,1968 ,numbers matching..as pictured.
23,800 miles,purchased from one owner.. he purchased from the dealer Porters Cycle Sales in the day...
I replaced the tires with correct new Metzlers, installed SS spokes as the old one were rusty,new SS hubcaps ,and replaced a few gaskets,Denfield solo, hela bar end signals etc. Includes original tool kit ,shop rag,tire kit owners manual,tire pump,and the keys for the tool box.Final drive is a 2/8.

Machine is very nice..one small dent on top of tank that show in correct light (see last picture).I did not try to have it removed.

BMW Reportedly Discussing Partnership with India’s TVS Motor

BMW is reportedly in talks with TVS Motor to develop new motorcycles for India. A potential BMW-TVS partership would follow similar arrangements between Bajaj Auto and KTM and between Hero MotoCorp and Erik Buell Racing. The Wall Street Journal reports the two companies are discussing a possible technological alliance.

BMW Quitting WSBK After 2013 Season

BMW announced it will withdraw its factory support from the World Superbike Championship at the end of the 2013 season. According to BMW, the company will concentrate on its production models including the addition of new small-displacement models and reaching developing markets. BMW Motorrad will also shift resources to other motorsports activities such as supporting customer racing efforts in both international and domestic competitions.
