BMW R-Series description

I am offering up a beautiful 1967 BMW R60 that I had restored by Sonoma Classic Restorations. They do quality work and it was a long time coming.  The options I requested for the bike are as follows; luggage rack, Corbin seat (I just like the look of the Corbin, it sits better in the bike and wanted something different than all the others with the Denfield seats), Bumm mirrors, tire pump, wide tires, headlight guards, Hoske tank and risers, and handle bar signals. I loved the Dover White so that was chosen as the color as you can see from the pictures.  There is a small crack in the taillight paint as you can see in the pictures and a place on the fender where the paint twisted due to the bolt tightening.

As far as the motor, it was completely rebuilt and you can see from his website as far as what he does to go through them.  I have ridden it a few miles since I got it as the odometer has shown while Sonoma Classics was testing it (still has less than 100 miles on it). It was delivered a few months back and I have been traveling since. It is a fantastic looking bike as you can see and it deserves a good home where someone can enjoy it regularly.  These bikes were meant to be ridden (not parked). As you know the more these run, the better they run.  The bike will come with a clean California title, a binder with all paperwork for the bike (manuals), keys and a BMW rag. This is a timeless design that is as beautiful today as it was back then and these bikes are only going to rise in the future as they become more scarce and the costs to restore them goes up. These are good candidates to enjoy and collect. Good luck and enjoy the auction.

Please note: This IS a matching numbers bike!

WSBK 2013: Laguna Seca Race Report

Mon, 30 Sep 2013

Tom Sykes and Eugene Laverty each came away with a victory as the World Superbike Championship made its return to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. The first race featured two red flags, ironically caused by AMA Superbike regulars Danny Eslick and Roger Hayden, the two men with the most recent experience at the famed track. The second race was a much cleaner affair, with a dramatic finish, setting up the final two rounds of the championship.

Wed, 25 Jan 2012

New motorcycle registrations in Europe decreased 8.9% in 2011, reaching its lowest level in a decade. And with the state of the economy in Europe, things might get worse. According to provisional numbers released by the European Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers, Europeans registered 1.72 million motorcycles, scooters and mopeds in 2011, down from 1.89 million registrations in 2010.

Triumph Teases 2025 Speed Twin RS

Tue, 03 Sep 2024

A sportier Modern Classic is on the way Triumph has released teasers for a new addition to its Modern Classics lineup, which we believe to be a 2025 Speed Twin RS. No announcement date was provided, but we suspect the full reveal will be coming in the next month or so. The teasers, sent out on Triumph’s social media channels and an email update sign-up page on its official website, show a familiar-looking fuel tank shape with the letters “RS” clearly displayed.
