The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially announced the recall for the 2012 BMW S1000RR, providing more information about the problem. According to documents released by NHTSA, the bolts on the connecting rods in the BMW S1000RR may come loose because of an anti-corrosive agent applied to the bolts. The anti-corrosive agent may effect the bolt torque, potentially leading them to come loose, particularly at high temperatures or rpms.

I’d like to ramble on about a dozen different things relating to this video, but the 3- minute, 19-second clip speaks for itself. However, once the engine is revving at high rpm, watching the cams, finger followers and valve springs seemingly freeze in action due to the incredible speeds, I was reminded of that whole “Dude, the faster I went the more everything around me seemed to slow down,” experience we’ve all heard about or experienced. 40,000 bikers to descend on Garmisch-Partenkirchen

40,000 bikers are expected to head to the Bavarian town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen during the first week of July for the annual BMW Motorrad Days event and you can join them. Billed as a celebration of all things two-wheeled and BMW, the event gives you a chance to test ride all the current BMW Motorrad and Husqvarna models and see stunt-riding world champion Chris Pfeiffer and meet the BMW World Superbike riders. BMW have organised a UK rideout to the event and with over 200 places taken so far, time's running out to book your slot.
