BMW Other description
For your consideration is my S1000R. It is one of the most enjoyable bikes I've ever had, and I've had quite a few over the last 24 years of riding. I've owned it for just over one year, with the main intention of going on a sport-riding trip with my father. His health has been in decline and we will not be able to go. With that and my other responsibilities, I've been unable to get out and enjoy this fantastic machine. So, here it is:
- no mechanical issues whatsoever - never been down, or abused in any way - plenty of wear remaining on the original Pirelli tires - electronic gear shift assistant - 4 mode traction control - cruise control - <optional> Dynamic Damping Control - <optional> Heated Grips - <optional> Painted Engine Spoiler - $295 BMW sport tinted windscreen The oil was last changed and the 600 mile service was performed by Alcoa BMW on 6/12/2015. Suspension: DDC and DTCThe S 1000 R is the only roadster to feature a highly active electronic suspension which is able to adapt to riding conditions within milliseconds, thereby enabling maximum agility and dynamic performance. Suspension: Riding modesThe riding modes available for the S 1000 R perfectly interconnect the individual systems of throttle response, ABS control response, traction control (ASC or DTC) and suspension (DDC or load state) for a dynamic but safe ride on varying road surfaces and in different weather conditions. Suspension: Steering damperThe suspension of the S 1000 R is fitted as standard with a mechanical steering damper which ensures optimum stability even on varying surfaces and at high speeds. OptionsThe extensive range of options gives the rider the opportunity to optimize the motorcycle according to personal preferences. Two packages are available for this purpose: |

BMW S1000RR Valve Train Working at High RPM [video]
Tue, 23 Feb 2010I’d like to ramble on about a dozen different things relating to this video, but the 3- minute, 19-second clip speaks for itself. Enjoy!

Thu, 24 May 2012When you think of making a round-the-world motorcycle tour, you usually think of an adventure touring bike like the BMW R1200GS à la Ewen McGregor and Charley Boorman in “Long Way Round“. Sean Jordan, a Canadian expatriate living in Budapest, Hungary, had a different steed in mind: a Vespa P200E scooter. On Dec.
