BMW Other description

2013 BMW S 1000 RR, CURRENT DEMOWhen we build a superbike, we have no time for second best. Presenting the very latest in racing power, the 2013 S 1000 RR. With an aluminum bridge-type frame, radial brakes, a super sporty tail-up nose-down design, hot colors and the ultimate combination of electronic rider assistance. The RR includes four riding modes that adjust power delivery, throttle response, Race ABS action and even Dynamic Traction Control (optional equipment).

Never before has it been so easy to keep so much power under control. This is as true on public roads as it is on the racetrack. The RR is a full-blooded racing bike, even though it can be ridden with a number plate attached. A race proven sport bike for the road.

How to destroy a GoPro

Wed, 14 Mar 2012

That scraping sound you can hear is a mixture of a knee slider and the GoPro camera housing grazing the tarmac at Mugello. The footage was shot on-board the BMW Motorrad France Team Thevent machine ridden by Hugo Marchand, in testing ahead of the 2012 Endurance World Championship. He managed to wreck the housing that holds the GoPro camera after only three laps.

BMW Helps Vertically Challenged

Tue, 02 Dec 2008

No matter where they go or what they do, it seems that people who are vertically challenged always get the ‘short’ end of the stick, pardon the pun. Historically, if a pint-sized person wanted to get into the hobby of motorcycling, their choices were limited to bikes like the Suzuki Marauder, Ninja 250 or HD Sportster (the thought alone makes my back hurt.) BMW Motorrad now has good news for riders who either need or simply prefer a lower seat height, but do not want to compromise on model choice. BMW is the first motorcycle manufacturer to launch a range of models that can be ordered from the factory with lowered suspension – to provide customers with low seat height options.
