The bike’s unstoppable character is further enhanced with the new DOHC engine which first displayed its impressive performance in the legendary HP2 Sport. For the R 1200 GS Adventure, torque was given higher priority than output in line with practical considerations. And you can feel it. The 88 foot pounds of torque at the peak at 6,000 rpm is one thing, but the consistently higher level of torque in the relevant range up to 5,000 rpm can be fully experienced. The output has been increased to 110 horsepower at 7,750 rpm. The supreme riding pleasure is underscored by a powerful sound from the new exhaust system with exhaust flap which will everyone will love – so take a test ride now!

BMW and Husqvarna to Unveil Concept Models at Frankfurt Auto Show
Fri, 02 Sep 2011BMW will unveil an electric scooter concept model and an entry level Husqvarna streetbike concept at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show. The BMW concept, shown in the teaser sketch above, will likely be a version of the E-Scooter electric maxiscooter concept announced in July. BMW claimed the E-Scooter’s liquid-cooled electric motor offers performance similar to a 600cc combustion engine, while the battery casing itself will form the body of the frame.
