2012 BMW S 1000 Rr , I'm selling my 2012 BMW S1000RR. 4000 miles, brand new Dunlop Q3's and it was recently serviced. It's just over a year old and has the remaining balance of the factory 3 yr/36k mile warranty. Currently installed: * Akrapovic full titanium system (over 20 lb weight savings!) * Ohlins TTX rear shock * Power Commander 5 w/custom tune. (dyno'd at 192 hp!) * Vortex rearsets, levers, case covers, sprockets (520 conversion) * Double bubble windscreen, clear * Factory options: traction control, race ABS, quickshfter My cost for just the bike was $17,400 brand new. Celebrity Jurors Named for BMW R1200GS Contest
Mon, 26 Nov 2012BMW announced its four-member celebrity jury panel for its globe-spanning “Ride of Your Life” R1200GS adventure contest. The panel is comprised of Academy-Award winner Adrien Brody, Paris-Dakar Rally winner Jutta Kleinschmidt, actor Rick Yune and noted motorcycle adventurer Charley Boorman. The panel will select five winners for the “Ride of Your Life” contest (also known as the “One World, One GS” contest) to promote the new 2013 BMW R1200GS.

Road test after road test, I shamelessly fawn and toady over all these $30,000 motorcycles loaned to me by the masters of the universe who produce them… I do feel some guilt, but this is really the only job skill I’ve got. Thankfully, sometimes the motorcycle makes it really easy to gush, which is the case with BMW’s freshly overhauled K1600 line.
McQueen’s Husky on the Auction Block

One of his preferred brands was Husqvarna (another, seen here, was Triumph) and to the delight of motorcycle enthusiasts and McQueen fans alike, one of his bikes will soon be in the hands of a new owner. This 1970 Husqvarna 400 Cross owned and ridden by Steve McQueen will be up for auction on January 10th, at Bally’s Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, by Bonhams. The motorcycle comes with an exhaustive quantity of documents supporting its provenance and authenticity.
