BMW Other description

Very low miles 4447
Never dropped or raced
Upgraded exhaust and rear fender eliminator
1000cc

Annual service was completed last week, also, the rear tire is new.

The 2012 BMW S1000RR is still the king of the horsepower charts for the third year running with a 175 ponies on tap.
S1000RR finished at the bottom with 73.7 lb-ft of torque.
That power pushed the 456-pound blue Beemer to a class-leading 0-60 in 3.347 seconds and a quarter-mile time of 10.81 seconds at 147.7 MPH.

The traction control system of the S1000RR is seamlessly integrated into the four power modes, with the most intervention in Rain mode and the least in Race.
On the street the electronic intervention is only noticeable in Rain mode and maybe in Sport if you really are pushing.
Its nice to know you have a safety net if something unexpected happens.
Our only real gripe is that the wheelie control still comes on too abruptly and brings the front end down prematurely

Unit is located in Fort Hood, TX.

2023 BMW S1000RR Review - First Ride

Thu, 29 Dec 2022

Bavarian Bullet Credit: Photos by BMW Motorrad/Markus Jahn and Jörg Künstle It scarcely seems possible that BMW Motorrad’s lineup-leading S1000RR sportbike actually made its official public debut a whole decade and a half ago in April 2008, with deliveries beginning the following year. Even though 15 years is a long time, especially in the Superbike arena, where serious players like BeeEm, as well as Ducati, Aprilia, and the Japanese, don’t stint on investing in fast-moving high-end technical R&D in pursuit of engineering excellence, the German brand’s first-ever customer motorcycle with a transverse-mounted four-cylinder has maintained its leading edge reputation for both mechanical and electronic innovation ever since then, and the newly introduced latest version is no exception. This is because, for the coming 2023 model year, BMW has essentially uprated its existing volume production version of the bike by transplanting a good chunk of the array of technical upgrades available until now only to around 1,200 well-heeled or well-sponsored users of the M1000RR, the uber-expensive, uber-performing version of BMW’s street-legal superbike that’s been on sale for the past two years, essentially as a homologation special for Superbike racing.

Works on Bikes: EX BMW

Thu, 22 Aug 2013

Take a 1991 BMW K100, put in a whole load of creativity and 99 hours of effort and you get this: the Works on Bikes EX BMW. Called the EX BMW because the two guys and girl behind this custom from Milan only kept the engine and part of the original frame. It uses wood, steel, laser machining, CNC and probably the odd bash with a hammer.
