Listing this bike for a friend who dos not have an ebay account.You are looking at the 2011 R1200GS, with only 5, 214 mis. This bike is in truly like new condition. Other than few light scratches on the windshield, just from cleaning, there is not a mark of any kind that I can see. This is a single owner bike, included is the owner manual and tool kit, just as it comes from the factory. It's equipped with ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM, on board computer, heated hand grips, hand guards and BMW vario expandable cases. It's no exaggeration to refer to this bike ''like new''. Never ridden off road, always garaged. It's under full factory warrantee until 4/ 0/2014. Tires have more than 50% tread. The bike is ready for the road, and it needs nothing. Kymco to Supply BMW with i3 Electric Car Range Extender and New 400cc Scooter Engine

The automotive world has been buzzing of late about BMW‘s upcoming i3 electric car having an optional range extending gas-powered motorcycle engine. As our sister site Autoguide.com reports, the i3 will be available with an optional two-cylinder BMW motorcycle engine to power a generator which can recharge the electric motor and extend the vehicle’s range to 250 miles compared to a range of 60-90 miles relying just on the battery. It turns out that two-cylinder motorcycle engine will actually be provided to BMW by Taiwanese manufacturer Kymco.

Expect Y-AMT on the MT-09 and other sporty streetbikes Yamaha announced a new automatic transmission system, joining the list of manufacturers introducing some form of electronic gear shifting technology following Honda, BMW, and KTM. The Yamaha Automated Manual Transmission (Y-AMT) system allows for quick shifting without the need for a manual clutch lever, with Yamaha claiming more consistently faster and precise shifting than the latest quickshifters currently available. Y-AMT isn’t Yamaha’s first foray into automatic shifting.
