BMW's R1200RT has been setting the standard for touring motorcycles for many years, featuring high-performance, luxury, and ultimate rider and passenger comfort. The R1200RT is powered by BMW's reliable and smooth-running Boxer twin-cylinder for minimal engine vibration. The 1170cc air and oil-cooled engine produces 110 bhp and 85 ft-lbs. of torque for hours and hours of effortless highway cruising. A six-speed gearbox and an enclosed shaft drive transfer power to the rear wheel. BMW's Telelever front suspension system and the fully adjustable rear Paralever single-sided swing arm suspension system provide excellent handling and stability. The dual-disc front brakes and single-disc EVO brakes are controlled by BMW's Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), which is standard equipment. BMW to Partner with India’s TVS Motor Company

BMW is getting closer to signing a partnership agreement with India’s TVS Motor Company. The partnership, expected to be finalized before the end of March, would see TVS receive access to BMW technology while the German manufacturer would increase its footprint in the world’s second most-populated nation. TVS is one of India’s largest manufacturers but it has recently slipped to fourth from third behind Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto and Honda.

With an MSRP of $19,995, the 2025 Ducati DesertX Discovery offers a middle-ground between the $17,995 baseline DesertX and the more hardcore $22,995 DesertX Rally. The DesertX Discovery comes standard with reinforced handguards, engine guards, a radiator grill, water pump protection, and a beefier bash plate than the standard DesertX.

BMW HP4 Gets New ABS that Works in Corners

BMW has developed a new anti-lock braking system designed to work when a motorcycle is leaned over into a corner. The new ABS Pro system will initially be offered as a retrofit upgrade on the BMW HP4 sportbike, but it’s likely only a matter of time before the technology becomes available on other models. The ABS Pro uses the same sensors already employed by BMW’s Dynamic Traction Control and Dynamic Damping Control electronic suspension, both of which are already available on the HP4.
