BMW is offering a set of complimentary panniers with the purchase of any new R 1200 GS motorcycle registered between 01 June and 30 September 2010 to celebrate the GS's 30th Anniversary.The offer covers both the standard R 1200 GS and R 1200 GS Adventure machines, as well as the special-edition 30 Year Anniversary R 1200 GS and Adventure models.The company's Vario Panniers, worth £506.57, will be offered (given) to anyone buyingthe R 1200 GS, and a pair of Aluminium Panniers, worth £665.45, to new GS Adventure owners.

BMW’s new S1000RR is one of the mostly highly anticipated sportbikes to come along in years. Its four-cylinder motor has a larger bore than anything else in its 1000cc class, plus all the latest racetrack goodies like a slipper clutch, variable-height intake manifolds and traction control. WSBK 2013: Portimao Race Report

Marco Melandri and Eugene Laverty split a pair of victories at Portugal’s Portimao circuit while Sylvain Guintoli took advantage of some misfortune to his championship rivals to increase his lead in the 2013 World Superbike Championship standings. Guintoli has been leading or sharing the lead in the championship since winning the first race of Round 1 in Australia, but amazingly continues to lead despite having just that single victory after six rounds. The Aprilia rider has accomplished this through his consistency (Guintoli leads all racers with nine podium finishes in 12 races) and ability to finish each race (he’s the only rider in the top seven without a DNF).
