I'm putting my 2009 BMW G450X up for auction. It is a shame that BMW has discontinued these bikes, but here is your chance to get a well cared for example of this unique and eye-catching bike. Be prepared, people will want to stop you and get a look at this machine!


Bike has 1392 miles and 49.5 hours on it, although I may take it for a short ride this weekend so it might have a couple more miles on it. I've only ridden it 3 times this season so I just can't justify keeping it. Someone needs to enjoy this bike. Oil has been changed every 10 hours as specified, and I just did an oil change on it 2 weeks ago. Stored inside and never raced or jumped. I use it for riding jeep trails mostly, and it's really nice to have the option of riding through town as it is fully street legal. Has some minor scuffs and scratches on it, but nothing I would consider damage. Look closely at all the pictures.

Title in hand. I will ask for $500 down payment via PayPal from the high bidder at the close of the auction with the balance to be paid in the form of cashiers check or cash at time of pick up. 

Buyer will be responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements, but I will assist in any way I can. I encourage bidders to come inspect the bike if practical. Bike is located in Heber City, Utah. About 45 minutes from Salt Lake City.

2014 BMW K1600GTL Exclusive Outed in CARB Documents

Earlier this summer, BMW announced its 2014 six-cylinder K1600GT including a new variant called the K1600GT Sport. A new document released by the California Air Resources Board reveals the more luxurious K1600GTL may be getting its own special variant as well. CARB released a new executive order for its 2014 K16 models including the K1600GTL Exclusive alongside the regular K1600GTL and the K1600GT.

Following in the wake of the Biltwell 100 race, my confidence in the 390 Adventure and my ability to pilot it for long stretches off-road soared. The ability to combine the technical skills I learned in the ATX Moto Adventures and Sedlak Off Road classes, along with some good old-fashioned seat time, really paid off. In addition, there were two changes I made to the bike that firmly cemented my trust in piloting it through the sketchy sandy trails – a custom lowered seat from Seat Concepts, and some aggressive knobby tires.

BMW Introduces Dynamic Damping Control Suspension System

BMW has developed new suspension technology that automatically adjusts damping for different riding conditions. The Dynamic Damping Control is the next evolutionary step in BMW‘s suspension technology, following its Electronic Suspension Adjustment systems (ESA and ESA II). While ESA allowed the rider to adjust suspension settings with the push of a button, DDC automatically makes adjustments as you ride.
