2008 BMW K 1200GT, CA: barely ridden since I bought the bike over two years ago. I just can't find the time so my loss is your gain. The K1200GT features smooth transverse 4 cylinder powerplant at 152 hp, this bike keeps the 'sport' in sport-touring! The GT includes partially integrated (linked) anti-lock brakes (ABS) and electronic suspension adjustment (ESA), on-board computer, electronic cruise control, heated grips and heated seats, and adjustable windshield. Combined with the unique Duo-Lever front suspension means you'll have a comfortable, quick, great handling bike that can be ridden in comfort all day. This bike has a custom comfort seat and was serviced within the last 1500 miles. Battery tender pigtails installed, battery tender unit available if you need it. *Please note the scratchy scuff on the left saddlebag. The inner safety strap detached while opening causing the saddle bag to open all the way and scrape on the pavement. Not noticeable from a distance, check out the photos. So you've gone out and bought your BMW R1200GS, you're ready to circumnavigate the globe's toughest roads - or ride over some potholes on your way to work - but you've got a dilemma: no way to mount your GPS device! So what you should do is exactly what this chap's done and use a spatula and a few rubber bands to mount-up your GPS for easy use. And the bonus is that when you get to where you're going, you can use the spatula with your BBQ and triple it up as a fly-swatter too.

BMW Reports Q2 2011 Results

BMW posted another record quarter, reporting sales of 37,471 motorcycles in the three months ended June 30, 2011. First quarter unit sales were 3.6% higher than the 36,175 motorcycles sold in the same quarter of 2010. Combined with a record first quarter, BMW has sold 60,580 units in the first half of the year, a 6.3% increase over 2010.

British Moto-Journalist Kevin Ash Dies at 2013 BMW R1200GS Press Launch

Respected British motorcycle journalist Kevin Ash has died following an accident at a BMW press launch in South Africa for the R1200GS. Ash was a long-time columnist at the U.K.’s MCN as well as the founder of British magazine Fast Bikes. Ash was also a popular freelancer, most notably as the regular motorcycle correspondent for the British newspaper the Daily Telegraph.
