BMW Other description

If you are looking for a BMW HP2 Sport, you should seriously consider this one. It is in superb condition. I replaced the near useless stock mirrors with CRG mirrors mounted on RhinoMoto bar ends. The stock mirrors and bar ends are included in this sale. The stock front and rear turn signals have been replaced with BMW's aftermarket LED units. The stock turn signals are not included. The battery has recently been replaced with a lightweight 18 AH Shorai Lithium Ion unit. I last changed the brake fluid, transmission oil and final drive oil two months ago. Valve clearances were checked. They were within spec with no adjustments needed.
The owner's manual, repair manual on DVD, tool kit, and an accessory spark plug coil puller are also included.

The Falloon Files: 1973 BMW R90S

Mon, 24 Oct 2022

Let's Boxer In 1973, I was beginning to look at the streetbike magazines as well as the dirtbike ones on the magazine rack at Lyons Drug; there must’ve been 20 or 30 of them, and plenty of time to browse as there was no www, and very little hope of obtaining any motorcycle at all anytime soon. The 1973 BMW R90S was a chunk of pure unobtanium, from a planet far, far away, that knocked my striped tube socks completely off. Ian Falloon wrote an entire 128-page book about it.

BMW S1000RR at Nürburgring [video]

Wed, 02 Sep 2009

BMW’s new S1000RR is one of the mostly highly anticipated sportbikes to come along in years. Its four-cylinder motor has a larger bore than anything else in its 1000cc class, plus all the latest racetrack goodies like a slipper clutch, variable-height intake manifolds and traction control. We’re still a few months away from testing it for ourselves, but we can across this great video that will give you a little insight into how this Beemer howls at top speed.

2014 BMW R1200RT Spied Testing

Thu, 21 Mar 2013

With the new 2013 BMW R1200GS now launching worldwide, it really should be no surprise BMW is working on more models using the GS’s new liquid-cooled boxer engine. A contributor to French site MotoMag happened upon a crew of test riders on heavily camouflaged test mules of what appears to be the 2014 BMW R1200RT. The swirly camo pattern does little to hide the new “precision cooling” liquid-cooled engine, easily identified by the pipes exiting from the bottom of the cylinders.
