Capirex’s New Ride: the BMW M MotoGP Safety Car

Retired racer Loris Capirossi has been named BMW M MotoGP Expert, representing the official MotoGP safety car provider in the world championship. Since retiring from racing after the 2011 MotoGP season Capirossi has been serving as MotoGP’s Safety Adviser. That, plus his familiarity with the MotoGP paddock and its racing circuits, makes him the logical choice as an ambassador for BMW M, the German manufacturer’s racing-performance subsidiary.

A whiskey-fueled writing assignment takes one man on an epic motorcycle road trip through the bars and taverns across the American West in this feature film.  The film follows a character called Sanders who rides a 1960 BMW R60/2 across Arizona, Utah and Montana. With help of fellow traveler and sage, Northway, and a variety of other colorful characters along the way, Sanders gets learns the way of the road and the zen of the bar.  The Best Bar in America is scheduled for release on DVD and iTunes this Spring. 40-Day Motorcycle Ride for Breast Cancer Groups

Charlotte, N.C., writer and motorcycle adventurer Tamela Rich is heading out on a cross-country ride to raise money for breast cancer causes. Along her tour, Rich will meet with breast cancer survivors and interview them for her upcoming book, “Live Full Throttle: What You Can Learn About Life From Women Who’ve Faced Cancer”. This will be Rich’s second tour across the country.
