2007 BMW R 1200 GS, 2007 BMW R1200GS: This great 12GS has been my reliable companion on many road/camping trips and is more than ready for your adventures! Well maintained, just had all the fluids replaced at the dealer. I only run premium gas and put in a fresh AGM battery in June. This 12GS has two small issues. The fuel sensor is out and won't read the fuel level. I just use the Odometer Trip to monitor my mileage. I had a 0mph tip-over at a campground and there is minor scuffs and scrapes on the engine guard, hand protector and turn signal indicator. This is the lid that saved me from a face full of road and stopped a big bacon slicer (a front disc) from carving a canyon in the top of my head. This helmet was transformed from gleaming white accessory to scrap when I got back from taking the new BMW S1000RR to Morocco. A pedestrian ran into me from behind a bus and the two of us hit the ground. She’s okay and so am I apart from getting knocked out and breaking my shoulder.

THANKFULLY you're not looking at latest addition to the US Police force's motorcycle fleet - it's the futuristic machine that featured in the 2009 movie "Star Trek" .It's being prepped before being suspended mid-air in the "Born to be Wild: Vintage and Celebrity Motorcycles" exhibition in the Reagan Library's Air Force One Pavilion in Simi Valley, California. Looks a bit like a BMW R1200S, don't you think?

We already know BMW started 2012 off with a record first quarter with 24,373 motorcycles sold, with an additional 2,642 units from its Husqvarna subsidiary. BMW‘s quarterly report now reveals the U.S. accounted for 3,429 units sold in the first three months of the year, a 47.9% increase from 2,319 units over the same quarter of 2011.
