BMW Other description

2006 BMW K1200R, This machine arrived looking very nice but also as a not ridden often enough and it was simply not running very well. As expected by our technical staff it was suffering from old fuel, a clogged filter and a few other small ills. Upon closer inspection we found some slightly rusty hardware, a fuel strip that was not accurate and a fuel pump that had seen too much sitting verses riding. There was also the issue of a worn out front tire and it being due for a full bi-annual service. We offered the prior owner fair compensation and then set about making it a perfect used BMW, which is exactly what Bob???s specializes in and so we turned the techs and the parts team loose! This one was built by BMW in November of 2005 as a 2006 machine. It was originally shipped to BMW of North America in December of 2005 and then delivered to a retail customer on December 23 of 2006 that sounds like a Christmas gift to us. We are unable to confirm if the person we acquired it from was the first or second owner, but we he told us he was the first and only. The BMW warranty service history tells us that the bike remained in the DC area during its entire life and that a little warranty or service bulletin/recall work was performed by all three dealers in the area.It came from BMW with Integral ABS, Electronic Suspension or ESA II, the On Board Computer and Heated grips. It also has the quickly detached BMW expandable saddlebags, frame sliders, dark tinted BMW screen, the BMW security alarm, a beautiful Sargent seat, white signal lenses and rear Hyper lights.

Winter weather but summer carries on.

Tue, 14 Jun 2011

Aye, it’s been a another good week in the world of Niall Mackenzie. My friends at Moto Direct sent me a new RST Pro Series suit to try out, I acquired some new rubber for my S10000RR and young Taylor Mac splashed home to 12th place on his Aprilia in the 125cc British Grand Prix. Being no fashion guru and pretty ancient now I’m satisfied the brightest suit I’ve ever climbed into looks the biz.

BMW and Husqvarna to Unveil Concept Models at Frankfurt Auto Show

Fri, 02 Sep 2011

BMW will unveil an electric scooter concept model and an entry level Husqvarna streetbike concept at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show. The BMW concept, shown in the teaser sketch above, will likely be a version of the E-Scooter electric maxiscooter concept announced in July. BMW claimed the E-Scooter’s liquid-cooled electric motor offers performance similar to a 600cc combustion engine, while the battery casing itself will form the body of the frame.
