2006 BMW K , There are many things that you can say about this bike. It is aggressive, stable, unique, involving, direct, emotional and very, very powerful. Mechanically the R is similar in most ways to the K1200S. The 1157cc, dohc, 16-valve engine is internally unchanged, with oversquare 79mm x 59mm dimensions, 13:1 compression and a dry-sump bottom end. The 4-into-2-into-1 exhaust system also comes straight from the S-model, complete with a large silencer exiting on the bike's right side. This is an imaginatively styled, highly tuned and defiantly different motorcycle that takes BMW in a whole new direction, one designed to appeal to a new and younger audience. Want more descriptors? Although most motorcyclists have little use for wintry weather, autumn is a truly beautiful time of year to ride. Granted, the days become shorter and the wind colder, but navigating your way through winding roads amid the vibrant colors of changing leaves is enough of a reward within itself.

2014 BMW NineT Spied – Lo Rider Concept Finally Coming to Life

Germany’s Motorrad Magazin has uncovered new photos of an upcoming BMW motorcycle rumored to be called the NineT. We caught a glimpse of the boxer-engined roadster testing earlier this summer but the new pictures – snapped at a gas station in northern Italy – reveal three motorcycles that appear close to being ready for production. The name NineT recognizes the 90th year anniversary, and the new model references that history in its retro styling.
