2004 BMW R Series S, Just over 27,000 miles, brand new battery, Corbin seat, ABS, Givi top case, good tires, heated grips, tags good through June 2015. This is a really clean, really well maintained bike. It's fun, fast, hot...I have owned many other motorcycles and this one turns heads FAR more than any other. I have some service records going back to when it was uncrated at the dealer and the care it has been given is evident when you look at how clean it is. Small tear at edge of seam in very rear of seat- see photo. I have just the top case for luggage but I have the original mounts for saddle bags. I recently purchased another bike (F800GS) so size of garage and wallet force the sale. Bummer. I'd hoped to ride this thing for a long time. It retains the clean lines of the System 6, while increasing levels of comfort and practicality with a more scratch-resistant internal sun visor, a more robust visor mechanism designed to make operation with gloved hands easier, improved ventilation control on the chin, and a revised spoiler for better aerodynamics. BMW says it has a unique chin bar pivot which reduces the size of the helmet when the chin bar is upright. Weighing in at 1.57kg, the ECE 22-05 homologated Evo is a quiet lid, with noise levels registering at 84-86 dBA at 62 mph. The helmet comes ready for installation of the BMW Communication system, offering a Bluetooth connection to the BMW Navigator IV sat-nav, music players, mobile phones and other BMW helmets.

2011-2013 BMW F800GS and F700GS Recalled in Canada
Wed, 19 Jun 2013Transport Canada announced a recall for the 2011-2013 BMW F800GS and the 2013 F700GS because of a problem with the kickstand ignition cut-off switch. The switch is designed to turn off the engine when the stand is down and the motorcycle is shifted into gear; this prevents the motorcycle from being ridden with the kickstand deployed. On certain BMW F800GS and F700GS models however, the cut-off switch can loosen and become damaged.
