2002 BMW R1150RT, The 2002 BMW R1150RT is aimed squarely at the long distance motorcyclist. BMWs reputation for reliability and comfort has long seduced the touring motorcyclist. The ergonomics of it allow you to spend longer on the road before your body demands a roadside stop. The upright riding position is good for the arms and the back, and the saddle adjusts through three heights, making it perfect for the long, or short, legged rider. Why cant other bikes do that? Ohlins Issues Recall Notice For BMW S1000RR And R1200R Steering Dampers
Thu, 15 Aug 2013Ohlins is issuing a recall notice for select aftermarket steering dampers for the BMW S1000RR and R1200R. The company believes the bracket holding the damper in place to be improperly machined, and a probable material defect in the aluminum alloy could cause stress fractures. Ohlins states that although “there is no risk for losing control during normal riding,” there is a risk the bracket will fail during slow-speed maneuvers, where the bars are turned at maximum steering angle.

2006-2009 BMW F800ST and F800S Recalled in Canada
Fri, 08 Nov 2013Transport Canada announced a recall for the BMW F800S and F800ST from model years 2006-2009 because of a problem with the rear wheel. At the moment, the recall has only been confirmed for Canada; we will provide an update if a recall for the U.S. is announced by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
