BMW Other description

2001 BMW R 1200 C, If you are looking for avery comfortable, dependable and beautiful motorcycle to cruise the backroads of this wonderful area, this is your bike. The bike is in very good condition mechanically and cosmetically. There is some pitting on the front. The bike came stock with a windshield, leather covered hard saddle bags, a large rear seat with chrome hand grabs, heated handgrips, exhaust heat shields, engine 'crash" bars and ABS. The bike has a BMW hubcap on the rear wheel. The brakes and tires are in good shape., In August of 2013 the oil and filter were changed along with the fuel and air filter. The spark plugs were changed and a new battery was also installed at that time. I am including my BMW riding suit, 2 Shoei helmets, a large and a medium, a large heated vest and a battery charger. My reflexes are not what they used to be which is why I am selling. $5,500.00

Drool-worthy new trials bike

Fri, 25 Oct 2013

THIS is the new Montesa Cota 4RT260 Factory, a sort of BMW HP4 of the trials world. Developed in collaboration with Honda, and the Repsol Montesa Honda Trials team, it’s got a 259cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine designed to compete with smaller two-strokes while producing less emissions. There are two versions, the £5,699 standard 4RT260, aimed at amateur-to-advanced riders, and the more competition-focussed Factory Race Replica version, with Showa suspension, at £6,799.

Ridden: BMW R1200GS Adventure

Fri, 07 Oct 2011

My first meeting with a BMW GS was an unfortunate one. It was going back a few years now (certainly pre-Charlie McGregor era) Having just picked up this new model, I’d ridden 100 miles on a warm summer’s evening to reach my house by dusk. Mindful of the fact that said house contained two frenetic, bark-happy border collies and a small, sleeping child, I cut the ignition, whipped the clutch in and planned a gentle coast up to the area outside my front door.

Firefighting Motorcycle

Fri, 17 Apr 2009

Ever had an officer ask you “where’s the fire?” after being pulled over for speeding?  Well now you have a good excuse. This converted BMW R1200RT has two 20 or 25 liter tanks (contain a premix of water and foam) mounted on either side that is connected to a 6.8 liter compressed air tank on the back of the bike that has a 20 to 30 meter hose. They are currently being used in the U.K.
