BMW Other description

1977 Bmw R100RS, The R100RS aka The One That Started It All - One of the most sought after models in the history of BMW is certainly the 1977 R100RS. The unit we are offering has had but two owners. The bike was first sold on 8/07/77 here in California. The second owner bought it in November of 1979 until he recently sold it to us. The bike had been meticulously maintained over the years and serves as a testimony to its prior owners care and diligence. Staying on top of the various tasks is in evidence every where you look. Upon our purchase of this bike, we had our mechanic go through it from front to back in a very thorough fashion. To ready the bike for its next owner, we gave it a full annual inspection, a brake flush, replaced all the fluids, re-sealed the cylinders, installed new fuel lines, and hand grips so it is fully ready to go. A new set of tires will be included in this sale, (of the brand and style the buyer chooses). We took lots of photos of this bike but seeing it in person is always preferred if possible. We have the owners booklet, extra keys and lots of records about this amazing R100RS.

Capirex’s New Ride: the BMW M MotoGP Safety Car

Wed, 11 Apr 2012

Retired racer Loris Capirossi has been named BMW M MotoGP Expert, representing the official MotoGP safety car provider in the world championship. Since retiring from racing after the 2011 MotoGP season Capirossi has been serving as MotoGP’s Safety Adviser. That, plus his familiarity with the MotoGP paddock and its racing circuits, makes him the logical choice as an ambassador for BMW M, the German manufacturer’s racing-performance subsidiary.

French Moto Website Anticipates Versys 1000 at EICMA 2011

Mon, 24 Oct 2011

Musings of a liter-size engined Kawasaki Versys have circulated the web for a few years now, as loyalists of the likable Versys 650, as well as displacement-driven riders waiting in the wings, have pondered the potential of a more powerful adventure bike from Kawasaki that’s in the same league as BMW’s R1200GS and Yamaha’s Super Tenere. Alas, nothing of the sort has ever left the lips of Kawasaki, let alone go into production. Recently, however, the French motorcycle website, Moto-net.com, has produced convincing images that appear like photos of a complete Versys 1000, including matching hard luggage.
