BMW R69S motorcycle for sale. Our father recently passed and he left us brothers this motorcycle. Unfortunately it needs work before it'll run, and neither of us have the time or money to take on the project. We don't know the specific repairs it needs, which is why we're selling it so cheap. Our guess would be a few thousand dollars. We were told by our grandfather that it's a 1968, but we're not positive about that. We have the title in hand. BMW Posts Record First-Half Figures
Thu, 07 Jul 2011BMW Motorrad sold a record 60,580 motorcycles over the first six months of 2011, a new record for the German manufacturer. First half figures were 6.3% higher than the 57,015 units sold in the same period in 2010. BMW reports strong demand across all its models, with the Boxer engine R-series models leading the way.
Ohlins Issues Recall Notice For BMW S1000RR And R1200R Steering Dampers
Thu, 15 Aug 2013Ohlins is issuing a recall notice for select aftermarket steering dampers for the BMW S1000RR and R1200R. The company believes the bracket holding the damper in place to be improperly machined, and a probable material defect in the aluminum alloy could cause stress fractures. Ohlins states that although “there is no risk for losing control during normal riding,” there is a risk the bracket will fail during slow-speed maneuvers, where the bars are turned at maximum steering angle.
