BMW K-Series description

2011 BMW K1300S Tri-Color (Lupine Blue/Alpine White/Sapphire Black)

The bike was purchased from BMW Motorcycles of San Francisco and I'm the second owner, putting over 11,000 miles on the bike in about 2.5 years.  With 22,500 miles on the clock, the bike is in practically showroom condition with all maintenance up to date.

The tires are Michelin Road Pilot 4 GT’s with 5500 miles on them and they look as new!

All maintenance and service bulletins were carried out by BMW Motorcycles of Western Oregon, and I have all the service records for the bike. The Duo-Lever front suspension ball joints were replaced during the 18K mile service under warranty.

Factory options include ESA suspension, Quick Shifter, ASC (Automatic Stability Control) & heated handgrips. ABS brakes front and rear of course.

The motorcycle has the following upgrades, any or all of which can be removed, returning the bike to complete OEM if the new owner so desires. I have all of the stock parts packed away, and I’ll happily install them if that’s preferable.

  1. Factory Center Stand
  2. Helibar Risers
  3. R&G Engine Case and Paralever Protectors
  4. Touratech Side Stand Foot
  5. MRA Windscreen
  6. GSG Frame Sliders
  7. HID Low beam
  8. Garmin Powered GPS Mount
  9. Factory Rear Luggage Rack
  10. Heated Gear Harness
  11. Lowered Footpegs

Best of all, the bike is still under warranty. It has factory level coverage through an extended warranty with Western Service Contract Corp. This warranty is fully transferable to the new owner and remains in effect until August 2018.

This bike is truly in exceptional condition, fastidiously maintained, and has a fit and finish better than any bike I’ve come across. I’ll miss it greatly, but I simply don’t do enough road riding to justify having it in my garage.

If you’ve been looking for a beautiful K1300S, this is your chance to snag one in a rare color scheme (2011 only), with low mileage and in fantastic working order - it needs absolutely nothing. Feel free to ask any questions, good luck & thanks for looking!

I'll be happy to assist with shipping arrangements, but shipping costs will be the buyer's responsibility. A $500 deposit is required via Paypal within 48hrs of the auction's end.

2014 WSBK – Phillip Island Results

Sun, 23 Feb 2014

When he signed with the team, Eugene Laverty said he would give all he possibly could to bring Suzuki back to the top of the podium once again. Well, it sure didn’t take the Northern Irishman long to accomplish that goal, winning the very first race of the 2014 season at Australia’s Phillip Island course. The win was Laverty’s third in a row, including the final two races of the 2013 season when he raced for Aprilia.

BMW Unveils E-Scooter Concept

Fri, 01 Jul 2011

As we expected BMW has revealed information about a new scooter model, releasing pictures of a new electric maxi-scooter concept. The BMW E-Scooter was developed with funding form Germany’s Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development. The E-Scooter was created with two goals in mind: to offer performance comparable to a 600cc combustion engine-powered maxi-scooter and to offer sufficient range for an urban commuter. BMW wanted the E-Scooter to provide enough power and speed for freeway passing and climbing steep slopes even with a pillion passenger.
