BMW K-Series description

The Grand Purge continues....  Up for auction, a beautiful 2010 K1300GT, w/ only 14145 miles.

Excellent condition, with only a few very slightly noticeable show marks on the saddle bag tops which I have tried to illustrate in the pictures.

Not much to say on this one, except it must go and soon.  Oil change at 13500.  Runs great, goes like hell, and sounds great to boot.

Provisions for Zumo 650 (mount stays, Zumo doesn't), Valentine 1 (not incl) Legal Speeding Black Box (stays), and Garmin/XM antenna.

Wunderlich high mount spot lights and fork-mount Moto-Lights (see pictures) contribute to high visibility.

Akrapovick can.

Aerolflow tall screen, shown in highest position for comparisons sake.

It's a great bike, ready to go to a good home and be enjoyed.

Sale is final, buyer responsible for picking bike up in, or shipping from zip 06759.  Short term storage not a problem. Must be picked up 09-27 or after 10-08.

1/3 of sale price due by PayPal within 24 hours of sale, balance within 72 hours.  Please read and understand this last bit. Buyers with no or poor ratings, I have the right to reject those bids.

Bid with confidence and read the feedback.  I've made some large transactions lately and the buyers have come away happy because I've been honest in my dealings.

Please feel free to ask away with any questions.

Fake motorcycle police. Why?

Tue, 17 Jan 2012

People who like to pretend they're police baffle me and annoy me in equal measure. I took this picture the other day at Cobham, about to join the A3 heading to Guildford. I guessed that the guy on the left had just bought his rather fetching BMW off the guy on the right.

New: BMW System 6 Evo helmet

Fri, 12 Apr 2013

BMW has released the new System 6 Evo flip-front helmet.  It retains the clean lines of the System 6, while increasing levels of comfort and practicality with a more scratch-resistant internal sun visor, a more robust visor mechanism designed to make operation with gloved hands easier, improved ventilation control on the chin, and a revised spoiler for better aerodynamics. BMW says it has a unique chin bar pivot which reduces the size of the helmet when the chin bar is upright. Weighing in at 1.57kg, the ECE 22-05 homologated Evo is a quiet lid, with noise levels registering at 84-86 dBA at 62 mph. The helmet comes ready for installation of the BMW Communication system, offering a Bluetooth connection to the BMW Navigator IV sat-nav, music players, mobile phones and other BMW helmets.

Harley's DEI Climbdown Isn't the Woke-ism Defeat You Think it Is

Wed, 21 Aug 2024

You may have seen this week that Harley-Davidson has decided to shelve its diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. Ostensibly, this action came as a result of criticism the company received from right-wing activists - certainly that's the way it's being reported in most media outlets. The thing is, I'm pretty sure that's incorrect.
