2008 BMW K1200S, 23,900 miles, clear title. All maintenance & service done local at Gina’s BMW in Iowa City, IA, have all service records and receipts. I am the 2nd owner, I bought it 3 years ago from an employee at Gina’s BMW. Previous owner and I both adults with plenty of riding experience. Bike is in very good condition, and has never been dropped or laid down. It is always garage kept, on front and rear stands, and a battery tender. This bike is great for long trips, even 2-up with luggage, or short and aggressive riding on twisty roads. It has factory keyed (same as ignition) BMW expandable hard saddle bags, as well as the extra BMW factory rear luggage rack. This bike is EXTREMELY fast, and is not a bike for beginners; 1,157cc (dry sump), 150+ hp, 6 sp, shaft-drive. I have added a waterproof USB port, Remus Powercone exhaust, and K&N air filters. Tires are Michelin Pilot Pure. Factory ABS, and adjustable rear suspension. I also have a digital service manual on CD. Additional pictures and/or information available upon request. BSB Superstock Championship Winning BMW S1000RR Stolen
Mon, 26 Sep 2011British Superbike racer Richard Cooper’s BMW S1000RR racebike was stolen mere hours after winning the 2011 British national Superstock title. Thieves reportedly broke into the Buildbase BMW race team’s truck after it returned to the team’s base in Leicestershire, England, from the series-clinching round at Britain’s Silverstone circuit. According to the team, thieves optained the keys to a van holding Cooper’s winning motorcycle and Superbike class racer John Laverty’s BMW S1000RR Superbike.

How else to characterize a Naked-as-Nature straight-Four hotrod with upright handlebar and no screen, which has a 14,600 rpm redline and produces a claimed 206.5 hp at 13,750rpm, with claimed peak torque of 83.3 lb-ft at 11,000rpm, that has a homologated/proven top speed of 174 mph and weighs just 438.7 lbs with all liquids, including a full 4.4-gallon tank of fuel? Consider that just a decade ago the factory S1000RR Superbike racer which BMW’s works riders Troy Corser and Leon Haslam raced in the 2011 WSBK series produced 216 bhp at 14,900 rpm, and it’s clear that the new MR super-roadster is a statement of intent that can’t be ignored.
