BMW K-Series description
This is a well maintained, head turning, K1200LT. I get compliments on the bike all the time.
It was purchased from a BMW dealer last summer and at the time of purchase they put in a new clutch, a new front shock, a new rear brake pad (it still squeaks as is hardly used) and all other normal maintenance. It was serviced this Spring, including anew battery, at MAX BMW is Brookfield NJ and only rode is about 700 miles (one of two bikes). She has everything! Including:
The bike consistently achieved 44 mpg, based on your riding habits this may vary a little. There are a lot of pictures so you can look closely at the bike. It has a fee light scratches based on normal use, but really looks great! It is in really good shape. Bike is being sold as is, no warranty. There is a crack in K1200 chrome bar (cosmetic) on the left side air intake (see pic) and normal wear and tear. BSB Superstock Championship Winning BMW S1000RR Stolen
Mon, 26 Sep 2011British Superbike racer Richard Cooper’s BMW S1000RR racebike was stolen mere hours after winning the 2011 British national Superstock title. Thieves reportedly broke into the Buildbase BMW race team’s truck after it returned to the team’s base in Leicestershire, England, from the series-clinching round at Britain’s Silverstone circuit. According to the team, thieves optained the keys to a van holding Cooper’s winning motorcycle and Superbike class racer John Laverty’s BMW S1000RR Superbike.
BMW Recalls Several Models in Canada for Potential Fuel Leaks
Thu, 19 Dec 2013Transport Canada has announced a recall on 18 BMW models across several model years spanning from 2005 to 2012 because of a risk of fuel leaks (the full list of models and model years is below). As of this posting, no recall has been announced for the U.S. but the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) currently has an investigation open for a similar issue, potentially affecting 45,588 BMW motorcycles.
BMW Reports Q2 2014 Financial Results
Tue, 05 Aug 2014BMW reported an 11.2% growth in motorcycle sales revenue for the second quarter ended June 30, 2014, thanks to a new best-ever quarterly record of 42,259 motorcycles sold. The record sales quarter also led to a record of 70,978 motorcycles sold in the first half of 2014, the most motorcycles BMW has sold in a six-month period in the company’s 90-year history in the business. The second quarter sales result represents a 5.1% increase on the 40,209 motorcycles sold in the same quarter last year.
