New: Revit off track textile jacket

Mon, 01 Dec 2008

Although the one pictured doesn’t look that worn it’s a recent replacement for the one I’ve been using ever since I passed my test two years ago. The previous incarnation met its fate in Africa at the hands of a knobbly tyre and chain. It has been in constant use this summer.

WSBK 2012: Assen Results

Mon, 23 Apr 2012

The Netherlands hosted a dramatic weekend of World Superbike racing that featured a red-flagged wet race, several riders crashing while leading, a first-time race winner, a photo finish between two teammates and the reigning World Champion finishing out of the points because of a poor choice of tires. The 2011 WSBK Champion Carlos Checa arrived at Assen with the lead in the championship and a three-race winning streak, but opting to run wet tires in Race Two cost him the lead and may have contributed to a crash that severely injured Liberty Racing‘s Brett McCormick. BMW Reports Q2 2013 Results – 15.5% Increase Produces Record Quarter

Thu, 01 Aug 2013

BMW reported a record second quarter with sales of 40,209 motorcycles for the three months ended June 30, 2013. The quarter saw a year-on-year increase of 15.5% from sales of 34,816 motorcycles reported in 2012. For the year to date, BMW has sold 64,941 motorcycles, also a record for first half sales in the company’s 90 years in the motorcycle business (those numbers however do include 1,110 Husqvarna motorcycles sold in the first quarter before the brand was acquired by Pierer Industries.) The record half comes in the face of a worldwide decline of 7.1% for motorcycles 500cc and larger over the first six months.
