For sale is a 2002 K 1200 LT the bike has Fresh paint ,new kenwood stereo w/ ipod , smartphone capability. the bike also has a brand new clutch with about 500 miles on it , new rear main seal, fuel filter, air cleaner and fresh coolant, the bike has all the usual stuff-cruise , abs, heated seats and grips adjustable windshield and all work as they should. it has very good bridgestone tires, front has about 800 miles rear about 1500 or so . the bike runs very well and gets excellent gas mileage, 50 + mpg. The bike is also being sold locally so I reserve the right to end auction at anytime.

BMW Reports Q1 2013 Results
Thu, 02 May 2013BMW reported worldwide sales of 24,732 motorcycles over the first three months of 2013, a slight increase from the 24,373 motorcycles sold in the same quarter in 2012. These figures include sales of 1,110 Husqvarna motorcycles before BMW sold the company to KTM boss Stefan Pierer. Sales revenue from BMW Motorrad however was down 2.7% to 436 million euros (US$569.2 million) over the quarter from 448 million euros last year.

Along with a couple of German celebrities such as television chef Horst Lichter and actor Ronald Zehrfeld, the guests included custom motorcycle shop Urban Motor. BMW tasked Urban Motor with creating the first custom R nineT to highlight the motorcycle’s potential.
James Toseland Announces Retirement from Racing
Fri, 09 Sep 2011Two-time World Superbike Champion James Toseland announced his immediate retirement from motorcycle racing due to a debilitating injury to his right wrist. Signed with the BMW Motor Italia racing team, Toseland has been limited to just seven of 20 races in this season’s WSBK Championship due to the wrist injury initially suffered during a private test at Spain’s Aragon circuit in March. After undergoing an operation for the injury, Toseland made two attempts at returning to racing, first at the Miller Motorsports Park round in May and again at the Silverstone round in July.
