BMW K-Series description

This K1200 was purchased by the original owner in Feb 2002 from Victory BMW in Chandler AZ.  He purchased the full service maintenance contract and I have all the receipts from new till I purchased it in 2005.  In the 3 years he had it the bike was ridden 23,600 miles, primarily daily ride to work miles.

Currently the millage on bike is 27,000, I used the bike very infrequently. I also maintained it very well with all scheduled oil changes and a major refurbish of all systems in 2013 ($1,400 service)  less then 1,000 miles since major service.

Bike has tons of extras listed below, factory options include ABS brakes, electronic cruise control, tool kit, heated grips. Everything works perfect.  Manual and service manual both included.

I will be 75 years old in September and my riding days are done. I have purchased many motorcycle since my first Cushman motor scooter in the mid 5's and rarely found anything as well maintained and clean as this BMW.  Winner of this action will be very happy.

Fri, 24 May 2013

BMW revealed a new concept to mark the company’s 90th year in the motorcycle business while also paying tribute to a classic: the BMW R90S. (UPDATED with video.) The product of a collaboration between the BMW Motorrad Design studio and Roland Sands Designs, the BMW Concept Ninety will be displayed alongside other classic BMW motorcycles at the 2013 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, May 24-26 in Italy. The Concept Ninety carries many styling cues from the R90S, BMW’s classic superbike.

BMW R12 Trademark May Be for an R NineT Successor

Tue, 22 Nov 2022

BMW Motorrad to mark 100th anniversary in 2023 Earlier this year, reports emerged that BMW had filed trademark applications for “R12”, with many predicting the name would be used on a new cruiser. The logic made sense, as the naming structure was similar to the R18, and BMW lacked a cruiser model in the 1200-ish range. We were a little less bullish on that theory at the time, and we suspected there was more to the story.

2010 BMW S1000RR Price Speculation

Wed, 03 Jun 2009

How’d you like to have the latest, most advanced motorcycle in BMW’s current line-up for $1,000 or less? Now that I have your attention I’ll clarify the above by saying that you can have, at some point, the new S1000RR literbike for a stated maximum of no more than $1,000 over the retail of what most of the Big Four will price their liter machines. This was undoubtedly the biggest news from BMW during the U.S.
