VERY NICE GOOD LOOKING BMW K1000LT, RIDES GREAT, LOOKS GREAT. EVERYTHING WORKS BUT THE ABS, IT HAS ALWAYS WORKED UNTIL I REPLACED THE REAR MASTER CYCLINDER THAT WAS LEAKING. NOW THE ABS LIGHT IS ON, I THINK IS ONLY HAS TO BE RESET BY THE DEALER, I'M SURE THERE IS NOT ANYTHING MAJOR WRONG. THE BRAKES WORK PERFECTLY WELL WITH THE ABS LIGHT ON. THERE IS NOT A DEALER CLOSE TO ME.  THE MATCHING TRUNK GO WITH THE BIKE. IT RUNS GREAT AND RIDES GREAT, GREAT BIKE FOR THE MONEY...  ANY QUESTIONS CALL ME  713 828 5100       BIKE IN COLORADO AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN IN THIS STATE.

BMW Warns of Potential Defect in 2014 R1200RT Suspension

BMW is issuing a warning to owners of the 2014 R1200RT with the Dynamic ESA option about a potential defect with the rear suspension. No formal recall has been announced at the moment; BMW is calling it a precautionary measure, though that may change in time or depending on the market. According to BMW, the piston rod of the rear spring strut could break.

BMW Sales Down 2.3% in First Half of 2012 but Record Finish Still Predicted

BMW predicts a record year for motorcycle sales despite a 2.3% dip over the first six months. The first half of 2012 saw BMW sell 59,189 units, down from the 60,580 units reported for the same period in 2011. The decrease is primarily because of a 13.2% drop in sales in June.

Tom Sykes snapped up a pair of wins at Magny-Cours, setting himself up in good position to capture his first World Superbike Championship at the season finale in Jerez in two weeks. The Kawasaki rider scored his series-leading eight and ninth victories of the season, giving him a commanding 37-point cushion over Eugene Laverty and 38 points ahead of Sylvain Guintoli. Sykes needs only score at least 13 points in total over the final two races at Jerez to secure the championship.
