BMW K-Series description

Well sorted low seat K75 touring bike. All maintenance up to date including a complete spline lube. Replaced fuel, vacuum, and water hoses; radiator fan motor; fuel pump, filter, and fuel level sending unit; clutch and transmission; rear shock (Progressive 412). Rebuilt brake calipers and added EBC rotors and pads; upgraded front lights, including LED auxiliaries and Eastern Beaver relay kits. Everything works and the bike runs very well and smoothly. Side cases included (a little rough but fully functional) and GIVI top case mounted on a heavy duty rear rack. New front tire, rear still has a couple thousand miles wear but a new rear tire is included. Sargent seat, C bars with bar backs. 47,273 miles. Appearance is OK with a few scuffs, scratches and dings, definitely a well sorted rider, not a show bike. I am not riding much any more (distance riding) so you can pick up a great bike at a great price. I am asking $1900 or make me an offer.

The bike is located in Decatur, AL. I have a clear title in my name.

WSBK 2012: Assen Results

Mon, 23 Apr 2012

The Netherlands hosted a dramatic weekend of World Superbike racing that featured a red-flagged wet race, several riders crashing while leading, a first-time race winner, a photo finish between two teammates and the reigning World Champion finishing out of the points because of a poor choice of tires. The 2011 WSBK Champion Carlos Checa arrived at Assen with the lead in the championship and a three-race winning streak, but opting to run wet tires in Race Two cost him the lead and may have contributed to a crash that severely injured Liberty Racing‘s Brett McCormick. 2023 BMW M 1000 R Review - First Ride

Thu, 15 Dec 2022

Excessive excellence Credit: Photos by BMW Motorrad/Markus Jahn and Jörg Künstle Nothing succeeds like excess – and by concocting the 2023 M 1000 R (or “MR” as they’d like us to call it), BMW is doing its best to confirm the truth of that axiom in a two-wheeled context. How else to characterize a Naked-as-Nature straight-Four hotrod with upright handlebar and no screen, which has a 14,600 rpm redline and produces a claimed 206.5 hp at 13,750rpm, with claimed peak torque of 83.3 lb-ft at 11,000rpm, that has a homologated/proven top speed of 174 mph and weighs just 438.7 lbs with all liquids, including a full 4.4-gallon tank of fuel? Consider that just a decade ago the factory S1000RR Superbike racer which BMW’s works riders Troy Corser and Leon Haslam raced in the 2011 WSBK series produced 216 bhp at 14,900 rpm, and it’s clear that the new MR super-roadster is a statement of intent that can’t be ignored.

Winter weather but summer carries on.

Aye, it’s been a another good week in the world of Niall Mackenzie. My friends at Moto Direct sent me a new RST Pro Series suit to try out, I acquired some new rubber for my S10000RR and young Taylor Mac splashed home to 12th place on his Aprilia in the 125cc British Grand Prix. Being no fashion guru and pretty ancient now I’m satisfied the brightest suit I’ve ever climbed into looks the biz.
