BMW K-Series description

1988 BMW K75S #0151763, Red. Fresh BMW Factory Major 10K Service. New fuel pump, Rebuilt forks, Transmission repair / reseal, Progressive Suspension rear shock. 59,500 Miles.

This Sporty Marrakech Red 1988 BMW K75S with 59,500 miles has just had a BMW Factory Recommended 10K service and Tune, plus much more. We installed a new fuel pump and filter, rebuilt the front forks, serviced the fork neck bearings, repaired a transmission shifting problem and resealed it, cleaned and inspected the clutch (Very Good), and lubed the clutch splines.

The bike is equipped with a Progressive Suspension rear shock. We installed new front brake pads, and a new Westco sealed battery. We internally cleaned and serviced the instrument set, and polished the faces. There are BMW “System Case” saddlebags on the bike (ask for photos if interested), There is 1 key that fits the ignition and fuel cap, another for the seat lock / helmet lock; there is no key for the fork lock (new are available). The exhaust and tires are all in good condition.

The bike is equipped with a Factory optional belly pan. The seat is grey, and has a small cut in the cover on the right side lower edge, near the middle. The paint is bright, with numerous small touch-ups that are not noticeable until you are very close. There are a lot of the small gravel nicks that you typically get on the belly pan; too many to reasonably touch up. There is some deterioration of the black paint on the aluminum transmission and final drive cases; easily repainted if you desire. There is no tool kit or Owner's Manual.

This bike would make a great daily commuter bike. It has surprising torque and horsepower for a 750cc bike, making it quite suitable for either Sport riding, or solo / two up touring.
