Retired racer Loris Capirossi has been named BMW M MotoGP Expert, representing the official MotoGP safety car provider in the world championship. Since retiring from racing after the 2011 MotoGP season Capirossi has been serving as MotoGP’s Safety Adviser. That, plus his familiarity with the MotoGP paddock and its racing circuits, makes him the logical choice as an ambassador for BMW M, the German manufacturer’s racing-performance subsidiary.

A year later than expected, and it brought a special friend Honda introduced its flagship streetfighter model, the CB1000 Hornet, at EICMA last year, with promises it would arrive as a 2024 model. We’re nearly at Halloween and Honda has finally confirmed the CB1000 Hornet is coming, as a 2025 model, and it will be joined by an up-spec SP variant. Well, for Europe at least.

BMW Starts Production of C Evolution Electric Scooter

The first C Evolution electric scooters have rolled off the line at BMW‘s main motorcycle production plant in Berlin, Germany. The result of three and a half years of development, the BMW C Evolution scooter is the company’s two-wheeled foray into electric vehicles. The C Evolution shares the same lithium-ion battery module as the BMW i3 electric car.
