This bike is a one owner. I bought it new from the Plano dealer in 2002. It has only 11,500 miles. I'm selling it obviously because I never ride it. When I did it was trips and highway miles. I upgraded the rear wheel and tire to a 190 $1000. I upgraded the exhaust for performance $1000. And to drop 40 or so lbs from the catalityc converter. Other than that it is stock. This is an amazing bike for 6k. Like new. It comes with a tank bag. Vans n Hines leather$650 in 2002. Gel charger helmet etc. If you are not familiar with the Evo braking system it is ridiculous. Celebrity Jurors Named for BMW R1200GS Contest
Mon, 26 Nov 2012BMW announced its four-member celebrity jury panel for its globe-spanning “Ride of Your Life” R1200GS adventure contest. The panel is comprised of Academy-Award winner Adrien Brody, Paris-Dakar Rally winner Jutta Kleinschmidt, actor Rick Yune and noted motorcycle adventurer Charley Boorman. The panel will select five winners for the “Ride of Your Life” contest (also known as the “One World, One GS” contest) to promote the new 2013 BMW R1200GS.
2013 BMW C650GT Canadian Pricing Announced – Sort Of
Thu, 26 Jan 2012BMW has started production of its new C600 Sport and C650GT but still hasn’t officially released pricing information for its two new maxi-scooters. BMW Canada however may have let slip pricing for the C650GT: CA$11,900 BMW Motorrad Canada is holding a contest to give away a C650GT, and the contest rules list the scooter’s MSRP. Of course, the $11,900 price tag is subject to change, especially as the scooter isn’t expected to arrive in Canada until late 2012 as a 2013 model.
Third Annual ‘The MEET’ at ACM
Tue, 26 Aug 2014More than 2,000 attendees visited America’s Car Museum for its 3rd annual Vintage Motorcycle Festival ‘The MEET’ last weekend in Tacoma, Washington, where over 300 motorcycles and scooters were showcased on the Haub Family Field at LeMay. The event drew pre-1981 motorcycles and scooters from the U.S. and Canada, including an antique motorcycle display, swap meet, cruise-in and a 78-mile roundtrip tour from ACM’s Anderson Plaza to Mt. Rainier.
