This is an easy project for restoration, its a 1925 Indian Scout, 27ci (600cc), its almost all there including those hard to find bits, like, front and rear stands, carrier, the correct headlight (rare), Schebler carb, Splitdorf DUx generator, oil pump, Splitdorf magneto, saddle, tail lamp, toolbox, battery box etc. It is missing the exhaust, foot brake pedal, brake linkages, oil and fuel lines, tank caps and primers, hand oil plungers etc, handlebar control wires, wiring loom etc, all available as reproductions. The frame, tank, fenders and sheet metal seems all rust free and very sound.

Limited Edition Vespa 946 Snake Celebrates Lunar New Year

Fri, 17 Jan 2025

Vespa probably isn’t the brand you’d think would be celebrating the Lunar New Year and honoring the Chinese zodiac, but for the third year in a row, the Italian brand has done just that with a limited edition 946 scooter. The 2025 Vespa 946 Snake comes after last year’s 946 Dragon and 2023’s 946 Bunny as the third entry in the brand’s Lunar Collection. We can probably expect the collection to expand over the next decade to complete the Chinese zodiac’s 12 animals, with a Horse-themed model for 2026.The 946 Dragon came in a muted golden color with a bold green dragon graphic on the front shield, while the 2023 946 Bunny had a more playful look, with a lime green color and a cartoon rabbit on the shield.

2025 Harley-Davidson Carry-Over Models Announced

Fri, 03 Jan 2025

What Harley announced… and what it didn’t Harley-Davidson announced its first batch of models returning for 2025 (well, technically second batch, if you include the returning police bikes confirmed in December, so, let’s say the first batch of consumer models). As usual, the first bikes to be announced are carry-over models, those returning with new color options and pricing adjustments, but no significant mechanical changes. These include the Road Glide, Street Glide, and Road King Special baggers, plus the Road Glide 3, Freewheeler, and Tri Glide Ultra trikes.

Three easy and three not-so-easy tips to help you crank up the performance on your hog Harley-Davidson and engine performance go together like cheese curds and piping hot Milwaukee bratwurst. They're a natural fit, folks! American V-Twin fans have enormous aftermarket support to extract extra oomph from their engines or go whole-hog with complete performance builds that won't leave any horsepower or torque on the table.

2025 Harley-Davidson FLHXU Confirmed: Enter the Street Glide Ultra?

Tue, 24 Dec 2024

Harley-Davidson has been pretty tight-lipped about its 2025 model lineup so far, but Motorcycle.com can confirm that it will include at least one new touring model designated “FLHXU”. Considering the Street Glide is the FLHX, it’s a safe bet that the new model will be a Street Glide Ultra, which somehow has never actually existed before. For those unfamiliar with Harley-Davidson nomenclature, Ultras are Harley-Davidson’s big-rig touring models, typically equipped with fairing lowers, a Tour-Pak combination topcase and passenger backrest, plus other amenities for racking up miles in comfort.

Best Naked Motorcycle of 2024: KTM 1390 Super Duke

Fri, 20 Dec 2024

The 1290 Super Duke was already a ridiculous motorcycle with the amount of power it had, all wrapped up in a fairing-less package. I thought we had reached peak levels of power, torque, and displacement – especially in naked bikes – and the industry would shift its attention towards electronics to make it all manageable. But then KTM went and threw the playbook out the window with this, the 1390 Super Duke.

Motorcycle.com Best of 2024

Wed, 11 Dec 2024

Welcome to December, which means that ordinarily, this is where one of us blathers on about how the last 11+ months have flown by too quickly. But this year was a little special, as MO is celebrating its 30th anniversary. That’s pretty crazy, when you think about it.
