Also has Expensive Corbin Seat, a must have on this bike and very hard to find now that these seats are no longer being produced!! Not only does this seat make  it far more comfortable but also looks Awsome!!! Windscreen also upgraded to high Rise Touring windscreen which also adds comfort On the road at Hwy Speeds. Bike has 22,900 miles and has just been fully serviced including Full Synthetic Oil Change , Coolant Flush/Change , Brake Fluid Flush and Changed. This Motorcycle shares almost identical Motor and Chasis to the very capable /versitle BMW F650 but with upgraded 5 valve Cylinder Heads for more Horsepower, upgraded suspension for better on and off road drivability, and sleeker styled body work and headlight which is more oriented to street use even though this bike is arguably better Off Road than the BMW as well. Although this Aprilia Motorcycle is more rare than the BMW, servicing and parts are easy to find as it shares many of the same parts as the BMW F650.

The solution to a pricey GPS mount

Wed, 26 Aug 2009

So you've gone out and bought your BMW R1200GS, you're ready to circumnavigate the globe's toughest roads - or ride over some potholes on your way to work - but you've got a dilemma: no way to mount your GPS device! So what you should do is exactly what this chap's done and use a spatula and a few rubber bands to mount-up your GPS for easy use. And the bonus is that when you get to where you're going, you can use the spatula with your BBQ and triple it up as a fly-swatter too.

Not sure what's going on with the sound in this vid, but it calms down after a minute - sorry! As my long term BMW S1000RR does most of its miles working hard on track days, I felt an early 6000 mile service might be a good idea. A quick phone call to my local dealer (the friendly and efficient Pidcocks) saw my bike in the workshop the following week and back in my hands by lunchtime.

BMW Produces 500,000th GS Boxer

Wed, 19 Mar 2014

BMW‘s most important model reached an important milestone as the 500,000th boxer-engined GS rolled off the company’s production line in Berlin, Germany. The landmark liquid-cooled 2014 R1200GS follows a lineage half a million strong of flat-twin adventure tourers tracing back to the first R80G/S produced in 1980. “As a plant it is a privilege for us to continue building on the successful history of the legendary flat-twin GS,” says Marc Sielemann, head of the Berlin plant which produces the bulk of BMW’s motorcycles since 1969.
