BMW F-Series description

1999 BMW F650  single cylinder Rotax engine (made in Austria, not China like the new ones)

The BMW has 9,800 miles on it and drives like new. She just received an extensive service 300 miles ago including brand new tires, tubes, battery, oil change (incl. oil filter), rebuild carburetors float valve - float valve assembly, fuel tank cleaning, fuel lines, spark plugs, brake fluid and coolant. This service was not cheap. This bike is ready. The chain and sprockets look like new as well. Only selling because I am moving. Also included in the auction are two side hard bags and a Givi rear bag. The side bags have some marks on them, but are fully functional and very practical. I can fit my helmet into the Givi bag. Also included is a second seat (you can see both seats in the different pictures) and an additional Airflow windscreen, which makes longer trips easier. Please e-mail me if you have any questions.

If you have feedback less than 10, please e-mail me prior bidding, Thank you.

New car firm shows interest in bikes too

Tue, 18 Feb 2014

NORMALLY we wouldn’t get terribly excited about an electric moped but this as-yet-unreleased design comes from a new firm that’s already making waves in the car industry. Qoros might not be a name you’re familiar with. The firm has yet to start selling cars in Europe, although that will change soon.

2023 BMW M 1000 R Review - First Ride

Thu, 15 Dec 2022

Excessive excellence Credit: Photos by BMW Motorrad/Markus Jahn and Jörg Künstle Nothing succeeds like excess – and by concocting the 2023 M 1000 R (or “MR” as they’d like us to call it), BMW is doing its best to confirm the truth of that axiom in a two-wheeled context. How else to characterize a Naked-as-Nature straight-Four hotrod with upright handlebar and no screen, which has a 14,600 rpm redline and produces a claimed 206.5 hp at 13,750rpm, with claimed peak torque of 83.3 lb-ft at 11,000rpm, that has a homologated/proven top speed of 174 mph and weighs just 438.7 lbs with all liquids, including a full 4.4-gallon tank of fuel? Consider that just a decade ago the factory S1000RR Superbike racer which BMW’s works riders Troy Corser and Leon Haslam raced in the 2011 WSBK series produced 216 bhp at 14,900 rpm, and it’s clear that the new MR super-roadster is a statement of intent that can’t be ignored.

BMW Lo Rider Concept at EICMA

Wed, 05 Nov 2008

BMW Motorrad has unveiled a bold new concept bike at the EICMA show in Milan which they call a study in design and engineering. Using the words purist and powerful to describe the concept, BMW has left nothing but the essentials present in a truly naked motorcycle. One of the goals of this concept is to custom fit man and machine.
