2008 APRILIA TUONO 1000R FACTORY

Up for auction is a one 2008 Aprilia Tuono 1000R factory model with only 5,983 miles! The bike has never been down and has no signs of damage. The only things worth noting are a boot mark on the one rear fairing, and a small black stain on drivers seat. We recently did a full service and installed new Pirelli Diablo tires. Aprilia Caponord Demo Tour To Reach 43 Cities

Aprilia has announced a coast-to-coast tour to showcase the capabilities of the new Caponord 1200 ABS Travel Pack. Beginning this Thursday, May 22, and running through through July 5, at one of Aprilia USA’s 43 participating dealerships, licensed riders can throw a leg over the Caponord and experience all that Aprilia’s latest adventure-tourer has to offer. The tour kicks off its west coast leg at GP Bikes in San Diego, CA and east coast leg in Belleville, New Jersey at Motorcycle Mall. In reality, true sportbikes are terrible streetbikes – and even worse touring bikes. Conversely, a sport-touring bike is great at taking the long way to the track – and some are even respectable on said track – but ultimately leave something to be desired when the pace wicks up.

[Unfortunately for them, this was the extent of Aprilia’s race wins for the year -TS] It’s also served as a parting testimony to the late Roberto Colaninno, Chairman/CEO of Piaggio who passed away on August 19, just days after his 80th birthday and a fortnight after Aleix Espargaró’s Silverstone race victory saw Aprilia turn the tables on its Ducati rivals. For stock market wheeler-dealer Colaninno deserves credit for taking his eye off the balance sheet long enough to give Aprilia’s race team sufficient budget to elbow aside big spenders Ducati and KTM in a successful drive for MotoGP glory.
