As the World Superbike championship makes its next stop at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah this weekend, Aprilia USA will be on hand and is inviting everyone to be a part of the “Aprilia Experience.”
Beginning Saturday, May 26 through Monday, May 28, Aprilia will be showcasing many of its popular models, including the Tuono V4R APRC, RSV4 Factory APRC, Shiver 750 and Dorsoduro 1200. Best of all, each of these four motorcycles will be available for demo rides throughout the weekend, on a route traversing the local mountains and canyons. In the display area, product specialists will be on hand to demonstrate key features of each motorcycle, as each is littered with technology that can be confusing for the unprepared.

It's ironic really, I'm the next generation from a family of riders, I work with bikes and am pretty much an obsessive for racing but somewhere in my motorcycling life I completely lost all confidence in riding bikes and my ability. Developing something I've never really had for them; fear. Setting the scene.

For a company with such a rich history in motorcycle racing including nine World Championships in the 250cc Grand Prix category, it comes as a bit of a surprise Aprilia does not already have a 250cc sportbike in production. From 1994 to 2007, Aprilia won nine 250cc Grand Prix championships with an impressive roster of riders which includes Valentino Rossi, Max Biaggi, Jorge Lorenzo, Loris Capirossi and Marco Melandri winning titles. Despite making a name for itself racing in the 250cc class, Aprilia does not have a 250cc production sportbike to compete against the likes of the Kawasaki Ninja 250 (and its replacement, the Ninja 300) or the Honda CBR250R.
