2008 APRILIA RXV 550 The second of two that I picked up this spring. I originally intended to keep this one and did a few upgrades when I went through it. The odometer shows 100 miles but it didn't have a speed sensor when I got it (it does now) but the ECU only showed 16 hours of run time. I went all the way to the bottom end on this one and it now has less than 30 minutes on a fresh rebuild. It was missing a few parts when I got it so the seat, chain, clutch, and rear fender are all new. There are some light brush marks on the front fender but I have a new one ordered. The forks were just serviced with synthetic oil and new double lipped fork seals. Improving the monster: Aprilia will upgrade the RSV4 Factory sportbike
Wed, 06 Nov 2019The second generation of the Aprilia RSV4 sportbike will be released around 2021, but for now the company continues to upgrade this impressive motorcycle. As part of last year's modernization, the RSV4 Factory modification debuted with an engine that increased the capacity to 1078cc that can develop 217hp at 13,200 rpm and 122Nm and 11,000 rpm. Now, according to the current information, the monster will receive a semi-active Öhlins suspension and a new color scheme.
Piaggio Multimedia Platform iPhone Connectivity Announced for Piaggio X10 Maxi-Scooter
Thu, 05 Jul 2012Piaggio announced a new iPhone connectivity system set to debut on its new X10 maxi-scooter. The Piaggio Multimedia Platform (PMP) will be available as a kit for the 125cc, 350cc and 500cc versions of the Piaggio X10, and eventually may be introduced to other models in the Piaggio Group (which would include the brands Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Vespa.) Designed by Re:Lab, the PMP system turns an iPhone into an onboard computer and secondary display. The kit mounts the iPhone over the Piaggio insignia on the center of the X10′s handlebar which, from the rider’s perspective, puts it just below the scooter’s standard instruments.

The first race saw the reigning World Superbike champion fight his way up from 11th place for the win while Race 2 offered a three-way battle between the two Kawasaki riders and Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli.
