Aprilia’s Banned AD [Pics and Video]

The Italian motorcycle company Aprilia withdrew this advert following complaints from the Women’s Institute of Spain, whose advertising monitoring wing considered it to be sexist. Tag translation: “The Arrecife Range: Now several sizes smaller”, I thought Europeans were hip to this kind of thing… Check out the uncensored photo and a controversial Aprilia TV AD after the jump. Aprilia Announce 2014 Model Range

Aprilia has today released its 2014 model range, with the $20,499 RSV4 Factory APRC ABS headlining the Italian marque’s impressive lineup. You can see the full list of 2014 models below, but first we’ll begin with two interesting omissions from the list: The Dorsoduro 1200 and Caponord. According to Aprilia, the Dorso 1200 won’t be coming stateside in 2014, while the Caponord will arrive later this year badged as a 2015 model.

EBR 1190 Wins 2011 European Superbike Championship

Harald Kitsch and the Pegasus Race Team has won its second championship on the EBR 1190RR, capturing the 2011 European Superbike open race class title. The championship follows Kitsch’s win in the 2010 Sound of Thunder V-Twin Championship on the Erik Buell Racing racebike. While the Sound of Thunder championship was won against other V-Twin machines, the European Superbike class included sportbikes from the Japanese Big Four, BMW, Aprilia and Ducati.
