2014 WSBK – Phillip Island Results

When he signed with the team, Eugene Laverty said he would give all he possibly could to bring Suzuki back to the top of the podium once again. Well, it sure didn’t take the Northern Irishman long to accomplish that goal, winning the very first race of the 2014 season at Australia’s Phillip Island course. The win was Laverty’s third in a row, including the final two races of the 2013 season when he raced for Aprilia.

The very successful viral video BMW created for its S1000RR sportbike earlier this year has yet again been made fun of by another manufacturer, this time being Aprilia with their RSV4.  Now I am sure its not going to get the same amount of attention as the BMW spot but I love a good cat fight, hopefully BMW will respond…  stay tuned. Aprilia will present a new sportbike this autumn

The company confirmed to the French publication Moto-Station that such a significant event will take place in the autumn at the EICMA Milan show. However, the final look of the motorcycle remains a mystery. Judging by the not too legible photo of the prototype that was recently caught on camera during tests, there will still be a difference between the exhibition and the road copy.
