Aprilia Falco description
This is a very nice 2001 Aprilia SL1000 Falco that I am wanting to sell. The Aprilia has only 10k miles. New rear tire, fresh oil and filter change. New Battery, only two weeks old. It is a Premium Power Sport battery with AGM Technology. It is still under warranty. The riding position is up, just a little, from a super-sport bike which makes it very comfortable to ride but still gives the look and feel of a super-sport. The good thing about that is the insurance is only about 1/3 the cost of a super-sport. The exhaust is from a 2011 Aprilia Tuono, and it sounds GREAT..The color looks orange in the images, but it is red. As red as the tail-lamps.The dash is unbelievable. There are five buttons that controls the functions. There is a (tattle tale) button that records and keeps your highest speed. A track button that will keep lap times. A trip button that keep miles and will give you your average speed of your trip. And more..The Falco's are a hard to find bike. The R retains the same 65-degree V-4 engine (with 180 claimed horsepower) and the aluminum chassis as the previously unveiled “Factory” version but uses a few lesser-spec components to keep the costs down. Aprilia will present a new sportbike this autumn
Thu, 04 Apr 2019The company confirmed to the French publication Moto-Station that such a significant event will take place in the autumn at the EICMA Milan show. However, the final look of the motorcycle remains a mystery. Judging by the not too legible photo of the prototype that was recently caught on camera during tests, there will still be a difference between the exhibition and the road copy.

Twenty-five years ago the Aprilia RSV1000 Mille won our Open Twins shootout, the SL1000 Falco was a staff favorite, and the Scarabeo 150 scooter was “practically Italian sex in a practical package.” Wait, what? Anyway, the Futura was and is a great sport-tourer, but maybe not great enough, since Aprilia pulled the plug after 2005.
