1973 Harley Davidson Sportster XLH-1000 from my collection. Electric start, matching frame & engine numbers. Motor sounds great, S&S super B carburetor, air cleaner, chrome remote oil cooler towers, braided lines,..etc.

This may be the nicest 1973 Sportster available anywhere. It runs very well. The bike was in climate controlled storage until roughly 3 years ago.

1973 Sportster chopper.  Frame is a OEM front with a +2" David Bird hard tail. 16" rear wheel - chrome is rough21" front wheel - Visionary Cycle Products WM0 rim, Buchanan's stainless spokes and nipples, Avon Speed Master, pre '71 drum brakeForks - 6 over k-model, Forking by Frank tubesSissy bar and seat were hand made by me, sissy is raw steel. Tank is a Lowbrow Customs Narrow Sporty tank.Old chrome z-bars and two piece bar clamp.S&S super E carbOld Chrome oil tankPistons, rings, and cylinders honed 400 miles ago.New points, and condensor. New primary chainRuns and rides, motor has always been very strong, handles well. Needs a valve job, valves have sunk in seats and spring retainers are beginning to hit rocker arms. Valves would really need to be done before it's ridden anywhere.

1973 iron head sportster, it's an old bike but runs good. It was built with no speedometer but she still runs great. A real head turner, it's an old school bike so it's a little different than most.

For Sale is an original 1973 Harley Sportster Chopper XLH 1000 w/ electric start and 5" over front end This is a NO RESERVE auction Original numbers matching frame w/ 1973 1000cc Ironhead motor. Motor is electric start only. fork seals, chain etc appear in good conditionThis is a mostly original, 2 owner bike that has been stored in a garage since 1986 Does not run, but motor turns over freely w/ good compression Vin# 3A64016H3 Good example of a classic original ironhead appears to be original paint.( tank paint is bubbled and chipped).inside of the tank is clean, but smells of old gas.single disk front end.will need battery and complete tuneup along with tire and carb rebuilt before driveable.Also needs front brake lever/ master cylinder Front rim is dented and tire needs replaced.

Completely restored 1973 XLCH 1000 Ironhead Sportster.  Partial list of new genuine Harley Davidson parts: tachometer, speedometer, speedometer cable, tachometer cable, brake hose, rear brake rod, handle bars, grips forks, front wheel, rocker covers, primary cover, kicker cover, exhaust, foot pegs, chain, wiring harness, brake light switch, regulator, battery box and strap, ignition switch, oil tank, rear wheel and tire, striping and decals, misc. nuts and bolts and other new parts.  Actual mileage before restoration was around 19,000.     Professional motorcycle mechanic also replaced the clutch, head gaskets and upgraded the coil/ignition and made all adjustments needed to have it operate correctly.     There are no dings, scratches, rips, tears, or rust.  Everything works like it supposed to.  It has a clear title and includes the original owner's manual.   The bike can be picked up by shipper or in person after full payment has been made.

Here's a good running vintage ironhead sportster.  The true mileage is unknown but the odometer shows low numbers, new battery, freshly powder coated fenders and tank, tight motor with just a minor oil drip every now and then, decent tread on tires an a whole lot of potential. It's an old 43 year motorcycle right side gear shift bike that has survived and is pretty much all there with the obvious exceptions shown in photos.

Custom built 1973 sportbike theme Harley Ironhead. Right side shift. Matching engine & frame numbers.Bolt on hardtail ,top part has been welded on.Rsd clip on bars,late style controls.

   I loaned a guy some money to buy this bike back in 2000. He took the bike apart and had it powder coated, then  got in some trouble and got sent off.  I had to have the bike put back together by a local bike shop. At the time I did not have my bike license, so  it was not rode very much. I have since got my license, and rode the bike a little,, but it was not what I wanted so I bought a 2004 softail.

Bought as a basket case in 1998, Got it running and had some fun with it.  Bike has been in the back of the garage for 7 Years. Needs some work and TLC. Has custom fenders and gas tank, Original parts also included.

This is a pretty nice shape 1973 Sportster 1000 XLCH Ironhead.The bike is in rideable condition but like I said in condition description it has some issues.The motor is a 1974 engine that was replaced before I purchased it about 10 years ago.Kick and electric start.Never used kickstart much but do have the kickstarter.Doesnt have the speedo or Rpm gauges on bike but I do have them.No turn signals on bike or horn.Put new battery in 1 month ago,decent tires and a fairly new Mustang seat.I think handlebars were from a newer sportster like a 2000 if I remember right.Super E carb and straight pipes.Please ask questions as Im sure there are some things im over looking.This is an AS-IS SALE with NO warranties applied.Im asking for a $350.00 non-refundable deposit to my Paypal within 24 hours of auction end.Remainder to be paid in cash when you pick bike up in southeast Iowa,will not ship.Once again Please ask questions before bidding.Thanks for looking.

Needs new starter and shifter.  comes with a set of forward controls  nice bike   runs good    has fatbob tank and fenders   mustang seat and drag bars  has 9,xxx miles    leaks a little oil   has some cosmetic wear.   could use a good cleaning

 73' Harley Davidson Sportster Pullock Shift Basket Case Last chance to buy.  I will not be relisting this item when sell is over. I have the title that is clear and ready for transfer.  There are 2 sets of tires.  One set are both drum brakes & the set that goes to the sporster; the back is a drum brake and the front a disc brake.  It's a kick start only.  There are extra seats, set of drag pipes, extra front end, and a few other extra parts.  Some parts are brand new still in their original package.  This was a bike that was torn apart and never put back together.  Being sold "AS IS".  Buyer must be able to pick up.
